Dear Friends,


One Lamb is well into its third year, and we wanted to give our faithful friends a brief update! What started as an anonymous financial collection to help a Peachtree Road UMC teen became a very persistent God-nudge to develop a mental wellness ministry in a place of faith. The desire to normalize the conversation around mental illness and addiction and cultivate a supportive community became our mission = to nurture and embrace mental wellness in a faithful community of education, connection, and support…and we are doing just that!

 

We are grateful that in this short time, thousands of people have engaged with One Lamb in different ways. We have provided over 70 program offerings on various topics including youth mental health, addiction forums, mind/body/spirit classes, grief support and more. We’ve had the opportunity to host William Cope Moyers, Jane Pauley and other subject experts to share their knowledge and encouragement. 

 

Check out our website – www.1lamb.org – With over 8,000 hits just this year, it is packed full of resources – interviews, educational articles, upcoming events and how to receive support. 

 

We are excited to announce a collaboration with The Carter Center in 2024 to bring leaders together from all faith communities to hear from experts on how faith and spirituality significantly improve mental wellness. It is our dream for ALL places of faith to create a mental wellness initiative, and we stand ready to help make this a reality.
