An interview with Kenya Phillips about her adult diagnosis of bi-polar 2, her treatment, her recovery and self-discovery

Reverend Mace Hall talks with Kenya Phillips about her diagnosis and struggles with bi-polar, how she got through treatment realizing  her vocation as a NAMI trainer, Life Coach and Spoken Word Artist. This her poem "Black Is Black" :

Black is Black,

Black is up ecstasy

Black is my soul

Black surrounds me

Black unfolds

 Lost I was once

Like a bird and a fleet

Lost amongst others

Looking to be free

Time has come

Anew day is here.

All triumphs of past

Are now at end

Colors are colors

Closed eyes cannot see c

Clear the darkened clouds c

Cool winds are soon to come

Keep in mind

Kindness as a part k

Kept deep within the one who

Knows their own heart.

Join us as Marti Munford, clinical mental health therapist, sheds light on the formation of anxiety in kids and the powerful ways to bust it. With humor (because how can you parent without it?) and compassion, we'll discuss parental patterns that enable anxiety and engage tools that help break the cycle.
