FRIEND TO FRIEND SUPPORT:

Connecting persons with shared experiences

The following is an example of a caring, confidential, supportive "friend" who is part of the Friend to Friend Ministry:

I am a friend.

Willing to listen, empathize, and encourage.

My title as friend comes from a journey I would never choose.

My child suffered and so I, as a parent, suffered too.

That middle part between the past and the present was chock full of complete grief, confusion, fear, learning, and growing pains; two steps forward, one step back.

But, today, I am on the other side and now I can be a friend to someone whose story is like mine.

I am a confidential, understanding, and a compassionate survivor who is as approachable as a friend should be.

I am here when you need me.
